ABOUT TIFFANY & THE EMBROIDERY NOOK

Hi, I’m Tiffany — and welcome to The Embroidery Nook, your cozy corner of the internet for everything machine embroidery!

My journey to embroidery is anything but ordinary. I spent years as a professional translator and interpreter, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree. I immigrated to Canada from Vietnam and here I got the opportunities to work at the highest levels of government — including interpreting for Prime Ministers Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney. I also spent seven rewarding years as a Financial Services Representative at Vancity Credit Union in Vancouver, BC.

In November 2023, I made the most important career decision of my life — I left my corporate career to stay home with my three children. And somewhere between school runs, nap times, and family chaos, I discovered my true passion: embroidery. I simply started from hand-embroidering my kids’ name on their clothes to machine embroidery where I could do more complex designs more beautifully.

From Finance to Fabric

What started as a creative outlet quickly became a serious craft. Today I run a professional embroidery studio right from my home in Vancouver, Canada, operating commercial-grade embroidery machines including my beloved Melco EMT16x — two professional 16-needle commercial machines that produce stunning, high-quality results far beyond what typical home machines can achieve.

In just two years I’ve built a thriving embroidery business, selling custom embroidered sweatshirts, T-shirts, and digital embroidery designs both on my own website and on Etsy, where I’ve been an active seller since 2020.

Why I Love Embroidery

There’s something deeply satisfying about watching a blank piece of fabric transform into something beautiful and personal. Whether it’s a custom pet portrait, a monogrammed gift, or a multilingual design that celebrates someone’s heritage, embroidery connects people in a way that few crafts can.

As a former interpreter who worked across languages and cultures, I have a special love for multilingual embroidery designs — and you’ll find plenty of those here too!
